Q: How much money was raised in 2008?
A: Melbourne’s Longest Cake raised just under $60,000 through an impressive effort from everyone who donated to the cause.
Q: How is money raised from Melbourne’s Longest Cake being spent?
A: Monies raised through this event will be administered by the CPSN to help people with Cerebral Palsy, and their families.
After each event, a percentage of the funds raised is donated to Solve! at the Royal Children’s Hospital. The rest of the money is put into The Cerebral Palsy Support Network Member’s Trust Fund, and the interest will be used to assist members with small grants (max $500).

Q: How many slices of cake are cut out of a metre?
A: 100 slices
Q: How long will the entire cake be?
A: In 2008 the cake reached 100 metres. There is no limit to how long the cake can be. Keep in mind that, the more metres that are sponsored, the longer the cake could potentially be.
Q: How can we pay for our $6 slice of cake and drink?
A: By cash or credit card on the day at the event.
Q: What do I get if I purchase a Family Pack for $18?
A: Four pieces of cake and your choice of 4 hot or cold drinks - so a great saving! By cash or credit card on the day at the event.
Q: What credit cards are accepted?
A: Visa or Mastercard
Q: How can a company or organisation enquire about becoming a sponsor for a metre-section of the cake?

Q: How are the company/corporate sponsor logos applied to the cake?
A: When sponsors send in their logos (in high res JPEG form) they are printed onto an edible white chocolate base plaque using food inks. One A4 sized logo is positioned in front of each sponsored metre of cake.
Q: Can I sponsor my cake and eat it too?
A: Corporate sponsors can arrange to collect their metre of cake (or part thereof) which will be boxed for convenience at the end of the event.
Q: Does the cake have nuts in it?
A: No, Melbourne’s Longest Cake contains no nuts in it! (see our recipe). However MLC cannot take responsibility for possible traces of nuts affecting individuals with severe nut allergies.
Q: What happens if Melbourne’s Longest Cake isn’t all eaten on the day?
A: Any unsold cake will be distributed to needy individuals and families around Melbourne by
Second Bite.
